KwaDukuza SAPS Excellence Awards

It is glitz & pomp and things are lit this Friday evening as KwaDukuza SAPS hold their Excellence Awards at the KwaDukuza Town Hall in honor of the men-and-ladies-in-blue who go an extra mile when on the line of duty.

Delivering his congratulatory remarks, the District Mayor Cllr Thobani Shandu said: “Whilst these awards are bestowed to those who show courage in dangerous times, they also honor those who work behind the scenes. Each award has a story. A story of bravery, a story of sacrifice, of going above and beyond. Every police officer deserves our appreciations.”

The awards have four categories, namely: Support Services, VisPol, Detective Services and Special Awards. Amongst those attending the awards ceremony Station Commander Brig. Mhlongo, Junior Station Commmander Thobani Ngcobo, Inkosi Gumede, the Mayor and Speaker of KwaDukuza Municipality and KwaDukuza CPF Chairperson Dr. Zungu.

Happy Heritage Day, Mzansi!

Today, as we celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures, traditions, and histories that make up this beautiful nation, let’s come together in unity and pride. Heritage Day is a reminder that our diversity is our strength, and it’s what makes South Africa truly exceptional.

From the rhythms of the Zulu drums to the colorful traditions of the Cape Malay community, from the vibrant cultures of our indigenous peoples to the delicious aromas of a traditional braai, our heritage is a source of endless inspiration and joy.

Let’s take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us to this point, honoring the struggles and sacrifices of those who came before us and paved the way for the rainbow nation we are today.

On this Heritage Day, let’s also look to the future with hope and optimism. Let’s work together to build a nation that embraces all its citizens, regardless of background, and celebrates the unique contributions each one of us brings to the table.

As you gather with family and friends, share your heritage with pride, and take the time to learn about the traditions and stories of others. This is how we continue to grow as a nation, fostering understanding and unity.

Happy Heritage Day, South Africa! 🌍🇿🇦❤️ Let’s celebrate today, and every day, as a testament to the beauty of our diversity and the strength of our unity.
