iLembe District has played host to the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development (KZN DSD) International Day for Families and Launch of the International Year for Families at Matondo Sports field in Macambini, Mandeni Ward 3. This successful program was led by the provincial MEC for Social Development Ms. Nonhlanhla Khoza, MPL who was accompanied by, amongst others, the Mayors of ILembe District Municipality Cllr Thobani Shandu, Mandeni Municipality’s Cllr Thabani Mdlalose, the Deputy Mayor of Ndwedwe Municipality Cllr Zandile Siwetu, to mention but a few.
