Notice of contract amendment – Security

NOTICE OF AN AMENDMENT OF A CONTRACT IN TERMS OF SECTION 116(3) OF THE MFMA (No.56 OF 2003).

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 116(3) of the MFMA (Act 56 of 2003) that the Municipality intends to amend the current contract for the Provision of Security Services for the Period of 3 Years with M Guard (Pty) Ltd and AET Security Services. The amendment seeks to revise the project scope by incorporating the following:

1. Provision of backup security personnel to serve as relief resources as and when there is such a need amongst the VIP Protectors that are assigned to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and the Speaker;
2. To enable the provision of firearms that are required for the execution of official duties by the VIP Protectors;
3. To make provision for the additional security personnel as and when there is a compelling need on an ad hoc basis; and
4. To make provision for the additional security services that may be required to cater for new sites as a result of additional municipal infrastructure and/or property.
