Blue Drop 2025 - Progress Report

The Blue Drop regulatory programme seeks to identify and strengthen the core competencies within the sector that are required to
achieve gradual and sustainable improvement in drinking water management in South Africa. It is a form of regulation intended to
harness and align the goodwill shown by municipalities, water boards, water services providers, the Department of Public Works and
Infrastructure, and other sector stakeholders, to drive the focus, commitment and planning necessary to achieve excellence in drinking
water management.
